Vice Ganda banners "Unkaboga-bowl" UAAP Season 89 kickoff

The 'Unkabogable Superstar' Vice Ganda gave fans a glimpse of a version of the Super Bowl Halftime Show as she headlined the UAAP Season 89 Kickoff Show on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Riding a giant mechanical tamaraw, Vice Ganda entered the arena floor and brought with her fellow It’s Showtime host Darren, girl group Baby Dolls, celebrities Kyle Echarri and Maki, and BINI members Maloi and Mikha.

Prior to Vice Ganda’s set, FEU alumnus Gloc-9 performed his songs “Simpleng Tao” and “Sirena.” He also performed “Dito Sa Amin,” the official theme song of the season.

The UAAP Season 89 games will open on Sunday, with host Far Eastern University taking on Adamson University, defending champion De La Salle University facing National University, and the University of the Philippines battling the University of Santo Tomas.
