PAGASA: Cloudy skies, rains expected over Luzon, Visayas on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is expected to bring rains and cloudy skies over parts of Luzon and the Visayas on September 6, 2026, the state weather bureau PAGASA said Saturday.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the Habagat is expected to bring occasional rains over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Abra, and Benguet.

Meanwhile, the Habagat is also forecast to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in the rest of Luzon and the Visayas.

Localized thunderstorms are expected to affect the weather conditions in Mindanao, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

As of 3 p.m., the state weather bureau is monitoring Tropical Storm Krovanh (formerly Pilandok) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 830 kilometers northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.

Tropical Storm Krovanh has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 80 kilometers per hour.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are expected in Extreme Northern Luzon, with waves running from 1.5 meters to 3.4 meters.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected in other parts of the Philippines, with waves running from 0.6 meters to 2.5 meters in the rest of Luzon and 0.6 meters to 2.1 meters in the rest of the country.

At the PAGASA Science Garden weather station in Diliman, Quezon City, the highest temperature recorded on Saturday reached 27.0 degrees Celsius at 2 p.m., while the lowest temperature was logged at 25.0 degrees Celsius at 2 a.m.
