'Green Bones' shortlisted at 2026 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards

Award-winning film Green Bones continues to make an impact on the industry, both locally and internationally.
With its empowering narrative and cinematic craftsmanship, the inspirational drama keeps soaring with new recognitions and milestones.
Representing the Philippines once again, Green Bones has been shortlisted at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards 2026.
Under the Feature Films category, the film stands as the country’s sole representative alongside entries from Brazil, Taiwan, and Germany.
"GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures’ Green Bones has been recognized internationally, landing on the shortlist for the 2026 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards," GMA Pictures shared on Instagram.
"The entry will advance to the second round of judging, with winners scheduled to be announced in April 2026."
Green Bones first made waves during the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival, where it won six major awards: Best Actor (Dennis Trillo), Best Supporting Actor (Ruru Madrid), Best Child Performer (Sienna Stevens), Best Screenplay (Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza), Best Cinematography (Neil Daza), and Best Picture.
It was also recognized at the 8th Entertainment Editors’ Choice Awards (The EDDYS) and the 73rd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards.
Dennis Trillo’s performance in the film further gained international acclaim after winning Best Actor at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2025.
