GMA Pictures, Warner Bros. sign deal for distribution of 'P77'

GMA Pictures and Warner Bros. Philippines signed a contract for the release of the upcoming psychological horror film P77. GMA Films President and GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide and Support Group Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, and GMA Pictures Senior Vice President and GMA Network Senior Vice President for Public Affairs Nessa Valdellon represented GMA in the contract signing. For Warner Bros. Philippines, distribution director Rico V. Gonzales signed the contract. P77 lead actress Barbie Forteza, director Derick Cabrido, screenwriter Enrico Santos, and story creators Anj Atienza and Kristian Julao were also in attendance.     After the contract signing, Atty. Gozon-Valdes expressed her hope for the newest partnership between GMA Pictures and Warner Bros. Philippines. She said, "I'm very happy that Warner is our partner here in the distribution of this film, and I believe that together, we can ensure the success of this film more and bring this movie to a wider audience."     Gonzales, meanwhile, said that the movie P77 is the seventh local film to be distributed by Warner Bros. "Can love heal all wounds?"   That's the gripping question that the upcoming CreaZion Studios and GMA Pictures film 'Everything About My Wife' will try to answer.   But before its much-awaited showing on the big screen, the movie's lead actors gave their two cents on love and healing during its media conference held last Thursday, February 13, at Seda Vertis North in Quezon City.   In the Q and A portion, Dennis said healing is still possible when there's still love. “Ako, siyempre, naniniwala ako na kapag meron pang pagmamahal, sa tingin ko, kahit ano pa 'yan, mahi-heal 'yan. Hindi natin masasabi kung mababalik pa talaga sa dati, pero kung may pagmamahal, maaring pang ma-heal ang isang relasyon," the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival Best Actor shared.     On other hand, according to Jennylyn, it depends on the weight of the situation. She said, "Kung sobrang lala, hindi mo na talaga kayang mag-heal, huwag mo nang pilitin kasi baka maulit-ulit."   For Sam, timing plays a vital role in the process. He pondered, "Every situation's different. I think that over time, time can heal wounds but may scar, may peklat.   He went on, "There will always be something left behind. Whether it's a hugot that you can be triggered by or a big lesson that you learned that made you grow. Normally, that's what happens. It's a bigger lesson that comes out of it."   Ultimately, Sam believes "love will always prevail in the end." Aside from the Philippines, the highly-anticipated 2024 movie 'Hello, Love, Again' starring Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo will be shown worldwide almost at the same time as its Philippine premiere on November 13. At the time of writing, 'Hello, Love, Again' will be shown in over 15 countries and territories worldwide in November 2024. Alden and Kathryn will also grace special screenings in the United States, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. Star Cinema and GMA Pictures created international posters tailored for each country where it would be shown.    'Hello, Love, Again' continues the story of Ethan and Joy as they reunite in Canada, five years after their separation in Hong Kong. When they met in Canada, it seemed that Joy had already assumed a new name to represent her new "version"-- Marie. In the first movie 'Hello, Love, Goodbye,' Ethan and Joy met in Hong Kong as struggling overseas Filipino workers who were trying to find their place and their purpose in the country.
