Four young ladies from different social backgrounds and for different motives, enlist in the glamorous "Miss Manila Sunshine Supermodel Search".
The first of which is Virginia P. (Heart Evangelista), a college student who entered the contest in order to earn independence from her family. Next is spoiled, rich socialite, Serafina F. (Lovi Poe), whose every whim is attended to by her maid Maria (Rufa Mae Quinto). Third is Pura K. (Solenn Heusaff), a socialite with increasingly dwindling funds. Rounding up the group is Christina G. (Marian Rivera) a con-artist who plans to rig the contest by seducing the judges into voting for her.
The four ladies make the final cut. However, en route to the evening gown competition, their ship catches fire, and the passengers scramble to evacuate. The four women, along with Maria, Joshua (the gay pageant coordinator played by John Lapus) and his boyfriend (Mikael Daez), Umberto (one of the ship's waiters played by Tom Rodriguez) and Alfredo (played by Aljur Abrenica) land on a desert island, where all their pettiness, insecurities, and desperation are pushed to absurd limits amidst the desert heat.
Written and directed by Chris Martinez, this 80s Joey 'Gosiengfiao classic returns to the big screen with bigger scenes and even bigger laughs.
