At least 80 couples in Calasiao, Pangasinan can marry their partners on Valentine’s Day.

A mass wedding organized by the local government aims to give opportunities to couples, especially long-time partners, who have been living together a chance at a wedding.

The mass wedding will take place at the Calasiao Sports Complex on February 14, 2024.

Personnel of the Civil Registry Office are making the rounds in barangays to encourage residents to apply for the wedding for free.

Couples only need to present a Certificate of No Marriage from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and a birth certificate, or their baptismal certificates and valid IDs.

"Importante diyan ‘yung CENOMAR, Certificate of No Marriage, galing PSA, [at] ‘yung birth certificate nila kung wala baptismal [o] valid ID, saka dapat sila mismo ang pupunta sa aming opisina para mag-apply," Juvent Esteves, the Municipal Civil Registrar of Calasiao, said.
