A 28-year-old man was arrested after he was caught stealing mangoes in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
According to the victim's report to the police, the suspect reportedly even tried to escape when confronted while he was picking mangoes at the complainant’s backyard in Barangay San Miguel.
The suspect was then cornered by responding barangay watchmen.
Around 50 kilograms of mangoes were recovered from the suspect, stored in eight plastic bags.
The man was also found in possession of a sachet containing illegal drugs.
The suspect refused to comment and is facing charges of theft and violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
