Perez Boulevard in Dagupan City has shifted to a one-way traffic scheme as road backfilling begins following drainage construction.

The City Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) implemented the scheme to prevent heavy traffic.

"Nagdagdag ako ng enforcer diyan, para magmando — nagdagdag ako ng apat diyan," POSO Chief Arvin Decano said.

Vehicles from Tapuac and Guilig can head straight along Perez Boulevard toward Mayombo or MH del Pilar.

Those going to Tapuac, Lucao, or Western Pangasinan must turn right onto Rizal Street.

Jeepney drivers, having less income, are struggling with the adjustment.

"Medyo mabagal talaga ngayon ang usad," Raymond de Venecia, a jeepney driver, said.

POSO has asked motorists for patience.

They assured travel will improve once the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completes the road elevation project.
