Trips of sea vessels, of 250 gross tonnage and below, in the Provinces of Northern Samar and Eastern Samar are suspended temporarily on Monday, February 10, 2025 based on a gale warning issued by state weather bureau, PAGASA, on strong to gale-force winds associated with the northeast monsoon (Amihan).

Coast Guard Stations in Eastern Samar and Northern Samar issued an advisory on suspension of sea vessels and other watercraft of 250 gross tonnage and below plying within the eastern coasts of Eastern Samar (Municipalities of Arteche, San Policarpo, Oras, and Dolores), as well as within the coasts of Northern Samar (Municipalities of Lavezares, Biri, Rosario, San Jose, Bobon, Catarman, Mondragon, San Roque, Pambujan, Laoang, Palapag, Gamay, Mapanas, and Lapinig).

Further, Coast Guard Station Biliran has enforced a temporary suspension of voyages for all types of vessels and watercraft due to unfavorable sea conditions and strong winds  within  Kawayan - Maripipi - Naval route.

"All vessel operators are advised to take precautionary measures and remain vigilant. Voyages will resume once weather conditions improve," Coast Guard Station Biliran said in a post on February 10, 2025.

"Vessels seeking shelter will be permitted with a written request, but no passengers or cargo will be allowed on board," it added.
