The City Government of Talisay in Cebu Province will observe a color coding of outfit for employees on Valentine’s Day, depending on the status of their love life.

Employees who are already "taken" or are in love are to wear red; yellow for those who are uncertain or are in a complicated relationship; white for those who are self-nurturing or are single; green for those who still believe in their chance at romantic love and waiting for the right romantic partner; gray for those who still hope for the return of The One That Got Away (TOTGA); pink for persons who are “just waiting patiently” and hoping to join the people in red. 

As for those who have given up on romantic relationships, and are numb about the topic, they are to express the status through a black outfit. 

Those who are beyond the rich red status but who enjoy being in the 2-2-4 sphere, or those who feel that their love is “2day (today), 2morrow (tomorrow), and 4ever (forever)”  are to wear blue. 

Mayor Gerald Anthony Gullas also encouraged Talisaynons who have transactions at the City Hall on February 14, 2025 to also observe the dress code and join in expressing the contents of their heart. 

Further, the City Council will offer free massage to couples who celebrate their anniversary in February.
