United States Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson, together with her delegation, visited the National Museum of the Philippines-Bohol as part of her official engagements in the province.

In a post on Provincial Government of Bohol on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, it was learned that Carlson "expressed her deep admiration for the rich cultural heritage and history of Bohol."

She remarked that "Bohol truly embodies the essence and significance of what it means to be a UNESCO Global Geopark in the Philippines."

The post further mentioned that Carlson commended the efforts of the local government and the Boholanos in "preserving and promoting their unique natural and cultural treasures."

"This recognition from the U.S. Ambassador is a significant honor for the Province of Bohol. It not only brings pride to the Boholano people but also reaffirms the province’s standing as a vital cultural and ecological destination, both nationally and internationally," the post added.
