A fire burned alive five dogs trapped inside a house in Barangay 17, Bacolod City.
Members of the Janeo family said they heard explosions past 3 p.m. on June 19, 2025, in a room of a house they had rented out.
Later on, they saw flames that spread quickly in other rooms of the house.
Five dogs were reported to have been trapped inside the burning house.
Parang speechless kami at tulala. Wala kaming nagawa,” said Marjune Dominic Janeo, owner of the dogs.
A renter identified as Nic Garcia Morales said that the fire grew huge quickly, so he ran away immediately toward a safer location.
“May naamoy akong kuryente.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has looked into defective wirings to have possibly caused the fire.
Another renter, 63-year-old Romeo Dawa, pointed out that while the fire started in his room he was not around when the fire broke out.
As of this writing, the BFP has not released information yet on the cost of fire damage.
