A bridge connecting two barangays in Sta. Praxedes, Cagayan was declared impassable after its foundation collapsed due to continuous heavy rains.
The bridge links Barangay Capacuan and Barangay Salongsong. Authorities said the foundation gave way following days of rain, forcing them to close the road temporarily to vehicles and pedestrians.
Meanwhile, a landslide occurred in Barangay Pangawan, Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya, also caused by the persistent rains.
The collapsed soil blocked a portion of the Nueva Vizcaya-Benguet Road, prompting its temporary closure.
Clearing operations are ongoing as of this writing.
