The Agta community in remote Palaui Island in Cagayan received aid as the 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company visited their shores, bringing medical aid and food.

As part of the 30th Police Community Relations Month celebration, over 200 residents received free consultations and basic services.

This is something many in the indigenous community access rarely due to distance and cost.

“Itan Apo, marikna mi gayam iti pinagayat ti gobyerno kaniyami... Iso nga agyamyaman kami iti Tribu ti Agta iti Palaui, lubos nga agpaspasalamat wenno agyamyaman kami iti gobyerno,” Agta leader Arcenia Ibanez said.

Beyond the health services, the day became a celebration of culture and community.

Agta youth and elders alike showcased their talents in singing and dancing competitions. They wore vibrant traditional costumes.

Winners took home small cash prizes, but the spotlight was truly on their joy and pride.

The event was made possible with the help of various socio-civic organizations working hand-in-hand with the police force.
