Several areas in Davao City are set to experience a 12-hour water service interruption starting on Friday, August 1, 2025.
According to the Davao City Water District (DCWD), the water service interruption will start from 9 p.m. on Friday, August 1 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 2.
One of the areas affected is Barangay Agdao. Portions of Jose P. Laurel Avenue, Mamay Road, Lanang, and Sasa will also experience low pressure to no water.
DCWD explained that the water service interruption is caused by the repair of a gate valve along JP Laurel Avenue near the Southern Philippines Medical Center.
“Buntag siguro magsugod nako og pondo diha,” an eatery owner, Isabelo Carrido, said.
“Magkuan mi ma’am og tubig sulod sa laton duha ka laton ang among masudlan,labi na sa mga hugason namo,” an attendant of another eatery, JekJek Banao, added.
