The City of Talisay Police Station in Cebu Province has been recognized as the Best City Police Station in Central Visayas in 2025.
The award was received by Police Lt. Col. Maila Causin Maramag, chief of police.
“This honor reinforces our commitment to serve with integrity, compassion, and purpose. It affirms that meaningful community connection is at the heart of effective policing,” Maramag said.
The City of Talisay Police Station is also honored for its Outstanding Police Community Affairs and Development (PCAD). The recognition stands as a “testament to City of Talisay Police Station’s unwavering dedication to fostering public trust, encouraging citizen involvement, and promoting peace and order through innovative and compassionate policing approaches.”
The award was handed over by Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 during the 30th Police Community Relations Month Culmination and Awarding Ceremonies on July 31, 2025, at Camp Sergio Osmeña, Sr. in Cebu City.
Further, Police Master Sergeant Marjorie Bero, chief of Police Community Relations of the City of Talisay Police Station, was recognized for her exemplary performance, and Cyril Velasco, recipient of the Special Awardee for Stakeholder, in recognition of his unwavering support to the development and improvement of the City of Talisay Police Station as well as to its police-community programs.
The City of Talisay Police Station is set to compete with other top city police stations in other regions nationwide.
