The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced of a scheduled power interruption in parts of Iloilo and Guimaras Provinces on Saturday, August 9, 2025.
The power outage is set from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Areas expected to be affected by the brownout are Iloilo Electric Cooperative (ILECO) I - Bolong, Cabatuan, San Miguel, Oton, Tigbauan, Guimbal, Miagao, and San Joaquin Substations.
The power interruption will give way to corrections on transmission line defects along the Santa Barbara - Miagao - San Joaquin 69kV line.
Specific affected areas are determined by the Electric Cooperatives (ECs).
NGCP has vowed to exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled.
