Up to 120 exhibitors from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have participated in the Mindanao Trade Expo 2025 Kadayawan at a mall in Davao City.

The activity showcased indigenous craftsmanship, cultural artistry, and homegrown products in Mindanao, including handcrafted décor, fashion and accessories, and local delicacies – perfect as souvenirs for tourists flocking to the city for the Kadayawan Festival.

Delicacies from farmers’ association in the Bangsamoro region and Bangsamoro textiles, known for their intricate designs and vibrant craftsmanship that reflect the region’s rich cultural heritage, were also featured by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) and the Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism  (MTIT) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

“This exhibition aims to strengthen the Bangsamoro textile industry through collaborative efforts,” Mindanao Trade Expo Foundation, Inc. (MTEFI) President, Rosevic Lucilla Del Rosario-Cembrano, said.

The activity also provides entrepreneurs with valuable exposure.

“Unang una, na-experience nila ‘yung ganito pala kaganda, na-expose nila ‘yung nga product nila. Kasi dati rati, nasa community lang nila. Ngayon nai-experience na nila kung paano lumabas at maipakita hindi lang sa Mindanao kundi sa buong Pilipinas kung ano ang meron sa BARMM,” MAFAR-BARMM Price Monitoring In-Charge, Nurjah Hadjirulla, said.

The expo also features fresh agricultural produce from local farmers such as fruits and vegetables.

“This trade fair is an opportunity for MSMEs to showcase their products and services and display Mindanao’s and Davao’s ingenuity and artistry,” City Councilor Myrna Dalodo-Ortiz, said.

The Mindanao Trade Expo 2025 Kadayawan runs until August 16, 2025.
