The Cebu Provincial Government has hired 13 new doctors and 160 nurses.
The newly hired doctors and nurses will be assigned at the four provincial hospitals and 12 district hospitals run by the Capitol.
Here is the personnel breakdown:
- Cebu Provincial Hospital (CPH) Balamban: 14 nurses
- CPH Danao City: 2 doctors; 25 nurses
- CPH Carcar City: 1 doctor; 11 nurses
- CPH Bogo City: 1 doctor; 20 nurses
- Ricardo L. Maningo Memorial Hospital (Camotes Island): 3 doctors; 11 nurses
- Barili District Hospital: 1 doctor; 7 nurses
- Juan Dosado Memorial Hospital (Sogod): 1 doctor; 6 nurses
- Jose Ma. Borromeo Memorial Hospital (Pinamungajan): 1 doctor; 5 nurses
- Tuburan District Hospital: 1 doctor; 7 nurses
- Minglanilla District Hospital: 1 doctor, 3 nurses
- Badian District Hospital: 7 nurses
- Bantayan District Hospital: 13 nurses
- Daanbantayan District Hospital: 5 nurses
- M.J. Cuenco Memorial Hospital (Malabuyoc): 4 nurses
- Oslob District Hospital: 12 nurses
- Isidro Kintanar Memorial Hospital (Argao): 8 nurses
Dr. Nikki Catalan, pro bono consultant on Health Matters of the Cebu Provincial Capitol, said that the newly hired doctors are comprised of general practitioners and specialists.
