A dead man was found inside a storage room at a school in Toledo City, Cebu.

The shirtless dead man was found past 8 a.m. on August 26, 2025 inside the storage room of Don Andres Soriano National High School (DASNHS) in Barangay Don Andres Soriano (formerly Barangay Lutopan), Toledo City.

According to the police, the man was identified as a certain “Arnel,” an adult, and a jobless resident of the said barangay.

Teachers of DASNHS were the first to have found his body and reported the matter immediately to the Toledo City Police Station.

Based on police investigation, they found blood oozing from the ears of the man.

Teachers surmised that the man could have entered the storage room through the roof but fell because of the dilapidated structure. It was noticed that a rotting beam collapsed, and that the man's shirt was snagged in a piece of wood on the roof. 

Police believed that the man hit head first the pavement which caused his death.

He was described to be a “notorious thief,” and has records for theft in the barangay.

As of this writing, police have pursued further investigation despite the absence of foul play in the incident.
