The local government of Sto. Niño in Cagayan has warned motorists to take extra care when passing through Tung-Tung Bridge due to visible damage found on its foundation and roadway.
According to the LGU, the bridge, part of the municipal road in Barangay San Manuel, connects the towns of Piat, Sto. Niño, and Lasam.
It also serves as the main alternate route linking the second district of Cagayan after the collapse of Piggatan Bridge in Alcala.
Authorities continue to monitor the bridge’s condition to ensure public safety.
