The Cebu Provincial Government conducted a house-to-house distribution of prophylactic medicine and supplemental vitamins to typhoon-affected families in Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City.
Capitol Piso Consultant Dr. Nikki Catalan led the distribution on November 18, 2025.
The distribution activity is part of the Cebu Provincial Government’s "intensified effort to support the affected local government units in preventing a spike in leptospirosis cases following Typhoon Tino on November 4, 2025,” according to the Cebu Provincial Information Office (PIO).
A total of 5,400 capsules were distributed to 540 residents in Barangay Dumlog, one of the hardest-hit barangays in Talisay City by Typhoon Tino.
“Residents welcomed the initiative, noting that most pharmacies have already run out of supplies and that the medicines they received from the Capitol are a significant help in protecting their health,” Capitol PIO said.
