Authorities have reached out to at least 10 families and five individuals living along the streets of Davao City as part of a profiling and reintegration process before they are sent back home to their communities.

Personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Davao (DSWD-11) and Davao City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) visited these families and individuals staying along the road and outside establishments in Agdao and Buhangin areas.

The team conducted interviews and profiling to convince them to undergo reintegration programs.

The initiative was aimed at helping street dwellers return to their respective communities so they can access services and assistance from the government.

The initiative also aligns with the DSWD’s Pag-abot program, in partnership with the local government, which aims to reach vulnerable sectors, particularly children, individuals, and families in street situations, to protect them from danger and provide interventions that help them live more productive lives.
