Personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) San Carlos City Police Station in Negros Occidental marked the 162nd Bonifacio Day commemoration at Bonifacio Square of the public plaza in Barangay 5 on Sunday, November 30, 2025. 

"The commemoration commenced with a wreath-laying (floral offering) at the foot of Andres Bonifacio’s Monument, followed by the simultaneous tolling of church bells and the sounding of sirens from PNP, BJMP, BFP, and San Carlos City DRRMO vehicles," according to a post of San Carlos City PNP. 

The event was led by Police Captain Rodney T. Sarona, DCOP, together with Police Lt. Reccis Aragon, deputy for operations; and under the supervision of Police Lt. Col. Nazer Canja, COP. 

"The activity was facilitated by the faculty and staff of Andres Bonifacio Central School (ABCS) and DepEd District IV in honor of Andres Bonifacio, the Father of the Philippine Revolution. His legacy of bravery, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to independence serves as a reminder of the power of solidarity, fortitude, and national pride in building a better future for the country," the post added. 

City officials headed by Mayor Renato Gustilo, along with LGU department heads, representatives from the BFP, BJMP, DepEd officials and staff, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines, district school administrators (public and private), veterans, NGOs/CSOs, and ABCS faculty and staff members attended the ceremony. 

Meanwhile, the City of Cebu, through the Cultural and Historical Affairs Commission (CHAC), commemorated the 162nd birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio, Father of the Philippine Revolution and Supremo of the Katipunan.

According to CHAC, in a post, Mayor Nestor Archival led the wreath-laying ceremony on Sunday, November 30, 2025, together with Atty. Marlouize Villanueva, CHAC commissioner; Police Col. George Ylanan, and City Councilors Paul Labra and Francis Esparis, together with Cebu City department heads and employees.
