Children with special needs in Lubao, Pampanga now have a new place for care and therapy after the local government opened a Children’s Center for Special Needs.

The Pampanga provincial government said the facility aims to address the growing need for early detection and intervention for children with developmental conditions.

The center will accept children aged two to 10 years old. Licensed therapists and teachers will provide occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as special education (SPED) services.

The facility will also guide parents through supervised home-based programs to ensure that children continue their therapy even at home.

Around 200 children will receive a monthly subsidy of P2,000 to help cover therapy costs and other needs. Officials said the program hopes to give families better access to support and services for their children.
