Residents of Barangay Malabago in Calasiao, Pangasinan lined up early for free medical and dental services, along with a unique giveaway of live chickens, as part of their annual fiesta activities.

The community program included medical consultations, dental checkups, and free circumcision services, aimed at helping residents who cannot afford regular healthcare.

Health workers said the activity helped residents save money on transport and medical costs.

Some residents came for follow-up checkups after recent hospital visits.

One of them, Cecelia Miranda, said she took the opportunity to monitor her condition.

Barangay officials said they brought healthcare services directly to the community to reach residents who struggle to access hospitals.

Aside from health services, the barangay also distributed 1,595 live chickens to families as part of its fiesta.

Officials said they opted for practical assistance instead of a large celebration, focusing on direct support for residents.
