The City Government of Davao has purchased 20 additional electric buses to expand the DC bus fleet, according to the City Information Office (CIO).

CIO said Mayor Sebastian Duterte ordered the acquisition, which will bring the total number of DC buses operating in the city to 30 units.

The city government is currently undertaking the procurement process for the buses, including the installation of charging stations, depot facilities, and garage infrastructure.

The additional buses are expected to arrive by December 2026.

CIO explained that the move is part of its commitment to modernize the city’s public transportation system and provide Davaoeños with reliable, safe, and comfortable public transport services.
