A police officer in Cagayan de Oro City died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into the center island in Gran Europa, Barangay Lumbia on Monday, June 15, 2026.
Based on investigation, Patrolman Peter John Edio had just come from duty and was on his way home when the accident happened.
Authorities said he tried to avoid something on the road, which caused him to lose control of the motorcycle and crash into the center island.
He was declared dead shortly after he was rushed to a hospital.
The Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) has extended its condolences to the bereaved family.
