With numerous countries around the world achieving breakthroughs in astronomy and space science, now is the time for the Philippines to join the international effort to unveil the mysteries of the universe.

The Philippine Space Science and Astronomy Research Conference (PSSARC) is the country’s first national conference dedicated to space science and astronomy, bringing together researchers, educators, students, professionals, and enthusiasts to advance the field and strengthen the national scientific community.

Organized by Filipino astrophysicists, astronomers, and space scientists, PSSARC serves as a platform for research presentations, knowledge sharing, networking, and capacity building through plenary and contributed talks, poster presentations, interactive workshops, and community events.

It addresses the need for a dedicated national venue where Filipino talents in space science and astronomy can connect, collaborate, and contribute to national development.

Following its successful inaugural conference held in Manila in 2025, PSSARC 2026 expands its horizon to Cebu, broadening participation and fostering collaboration across the Philippines.

Guided by the 2026 theme, “Under One Sky: Expanding Horizons Together,” PSSARC emphasizes the importance of collective effort in building a stronger and more inclusive scientific ecosystem for the future.

The 2026 PSSARC is also open to the international community, which will enable the Filipino scientific community to expand its horizons and share the international spotlight.

PSSARC welcomes researchers presenting discoveries, students exploring future opportunities, educators inspiring the next generation, professionals seeking collaboration, or space enthusiasts eager to learn.

The conference also welcomes persons with disabilities (PWD), deaf/hard-of-hearing participants, and blind/low-vision individuals. The event will have accessibility-focused initiatives to allow all participants to enjoy the conference equally.

The conference will take place on August 3 to 5, 2026 at the University of San Carlos Talamban Campus in Cebu City.

Registration is now open at bit.ly/PSSARC2026Registration. To provide more opportunities for participants to register, the Early Bird Registration period is extended until June 19, 2026. Students have lower rates, and PWD participants receive discounts. Regular registration ends on July 10, 2026.
