Residents and visitors of Barangay Zone-2 in Bulan, Sorsogon, are treated to a free breakfast along the seaside boulevard on November 14, 2023.
Individuals fortunate enough to be in the vicinity during the gathering are welcomed to partake in the free feast. The highlight of the morning is the distribution of Tamban (Indian Sardine) sourced from local waters, prepared on-site for everyone to enjoy.
Barangay Captain Jojo Geraldino who initiated the practice describes it as a way to uplift the spirits of his neighbors, especially those who may be facing challenges.
"Naka-ugalian ko na pag may time ako ng umaga, alas kwatro magigising magluluto ng kanin, pag umagahan, yun libreng lawlaw, libreng almusal na po kami," he said.
