Tractors, adorned with vegetables, took center stage in the streets during a float parade for Agew na Dumaralos or Farmer's Day in Malasiqui, Pangasinan.
The festivities also highlighted the largest and heaviest produce, fruits, and fish.
A pumpkin weighing over nine kilograms and measuring 96 centimeters in length was among the standout exhibits.
A mango, weighing a whole kilogram, grabbed attention for its impressive size.
"Talagang nagulat ako kung bakit ganyan kalaki [yung mangga], hindi naman ‘yan inisprayhan [ng kemikal]... lumabas [nalang] na ganyan," Rolando Caranto, the farmer behind the big mango, said.
Conrado Boquiren showcased his three-kilogram catfish proudly, kissing it joyfully in celebration.
"Kung labanan ng malaki, mas malaki pa ako. Second choice ko ito, nanalo dahil kalaban ko maliit," Boquiren said.
A massive goat weighing 80 kilograms, owned by Bert Dangat, also took the spotlight.
"Noong inaalagaan ko, parang mabilis siyang lumaki. Basta kain siya nang kain, kain niya dayami rin lang," Dangat said.
A significant budget was allocated to the local agriculture sector according to the local government.
"We budgeted millions of pesos for the assistance of the LGU to the farmers such as seed assistance for corn and palay," Mayor Noel Anthony Geslani of Malasaqui, said.
