In a display reminiscent of a mini vegetable market, the dazzling "kuliglig" floats showcased by 15 barangays in San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur, turned heads during the town's celebration.

The floats were adorned with freshly harvested vegetables, cultivated by local farmers themselves.

One float featured a complete farm scene, including vegetable seedlings, a tobacco barn, a mini poultry farm, and a fishpond.

"May isda rito dahil may fish cages kami sa Barangay Bantaoay, may Basi vinegar din at tabako. Marami kaming nagbebenta ng tabako," Rufino Correa, Chairman of Barangay Poblacion East, said.

This marks the first-ever "kuliglig" float parade as part of the town's festivities.

"May temang masaganang ani at pagkain para sa bayan ng San Ildefonso. Kahit maliit ang bayan namin masagana naman ang ani na siyang ibinida sa float," John Glenn Pagud, San Ildefonso Municipal Agriculturist, said.
