The Clash Season 3 Champion Jessica Villarubin will help determine who the next singing sensation will be, as she is named as one of Tanghalan ng Kampeon's trio of judges, GMA Network announced yesterday, February 9.

After an unforgettable performance during the highly successful “Queendom: Live” in December 2023, the 27-year-old Cebuana is ready to take on a brand new challenge of judging for one of the most acclaimed singing competitions in Philippine television. 

Making its much-awaited comeback, iconic singing competition “Tanghalan ng Kampeon“ will also have veteran hitmaker Renz Verano and “The Juans” instrumentalist Carl Guevarra to join Jessica in the panel.

The San Fernando, Cebu native began her singing career on live television with a bang when she was adjudged the overall champion in the third season of “The Clash” in 2020. 

Since then, she has been one of the favorite mainstays on GMA’s musical variety show, “All-Out Sundays”, singing heartfelt renditions and exciting performances on the AOS stage .

Because of her vocal prowess and undeniable talent onstage, she became an instant crowd favorite, even forming an all-female singing group “Divas of the Queendom” with multi-awarded child stars Julie Anne San Jose and Rita Daniela, as well as fellow Kapuso homegrown winners Hannah Precillas, Mariane Osabel, and Thea Astley.

“Tanghalan ng Kampeon” is a nationally televised amateur singing competition broadcasted by the Kapuso network from 1987 to 1992. Its much-anticipated 2024 comeback will feature Kuya Kim Atienza and Pokwang as its hosts. 

Its premiere episode will air on February 12, 2024, Monday, and will be an official segment in the countdown variety show, TiktoClock.
