The Clash 2023 champion and Kapuso balladeer John Rex Baculfo announced gladly on February 16, 2024 the release of his debut single, “Someday in Your Life,” a song he said is dedicated to his parents.

Now an All-Out Sundays (AOS) mainstay, the former “Clash” champ is taking his singing career to the next level with the release of his first-ever single as an artist of GMA Music.

In an exclusive interview with GMA Network, the ‘Majesty’ member said that “Someday In Your Life” is an ode to his loving parents as he hopes to give back the kind of love they have shown him since the very start.

"Idini-dedicate ko ito sa aking parents kasi I'm hoping and praying and waiting na someday in my life maibalik ko sa kanila 'yung love na ibinigay nila for me simula noong maliit ako hanggang ngayon,” he said.

With the song’s message, he puts his parents’ love on a pedestal, and looks forward to the day that he is able to finally repay them.

“Sana dumating 'yung araw, 'yung tamang panahon at oras na puwede ko maibigay sa kanila 'yung love na 'yon nang buong-buo. Well naibibigay ko naman 'yung love na 'yon pero for me wala kasing katumbas 'yung ibinigay nila," he added.

John Rex officially broke the news on his social media accounts.

“It’s officially out!! #SomedayInYourLife,” he said in the caption of his Instagram post. “Thank you for loving the song. Our song.. THANK YOU GUYS FOR YOUR LOVE!” added the very grateful balladeer, who has roots in Cebu. 

The charismatic 25-year-old Kapuso artist, who's an instant crowd favorite in Kapuso Fiestas and Regional TV events, posted alongside a list of his scheduled guestings and other relevant dates about his newest song.

Shortly after its release on February 16, “Someday in Your Life” will be featured on the different regional newscasts of GMA Regional TV, including One North Central Luzon, Balitang Southern Tagalog, Balitang Bicolandia, Balitang Bisdak, and One Western Visayas. It will make its way to One Mindanao on February 19.

John Rex's single will officially be launched on live television on February 18 when he performs it on the AOS stage.
