Bicolana singer-actress Kyline Alcantara had a busy and meaningful Holy Week trip as she spent some time in her hometown Camarines Sur with family and loved ones.
BICOL VACATION
In a report by Lhar Santiago on ‘24 Oras,’ the 21-year-old Sparkle star described her week-long Bicol homecoming as the ‘best vacation ever’ where she visited her family’s hometowns in Camarines Sur and Albay.
“Para siyang reset talaga, hindi lang po beach or bonding with the family, pero nag-prusisyon po kami and yun yung pinaka highlight ng trip,” shared Kyline, who posted on Instagram snapshots of their participation in the said religious practice observed during semana santa.
Another part of the trip she made sure not to miss was to enjoy the region’s best dishes. She said she really relished eating out and exploring Bicol’s rich culinary cuisine.
“Siyempre hindi mawawala ang Bicol Express, laing, at meron po akong natikman na bagong fish na sa Sorsogon lang mahahanap at tuwing Holy Week lang siya lumalabas talaga. Natikman ko rin ang pancit dinuguan,” Kyline told GMA Integrated News.
Also mentioned was her Instagram post showing a stunning beach photoshoot where Kylie was seen posing atop a palm tree at a beach in Sorsogon.
“Napakahirap po pala, pinakita sakin ni papa na pwede naman umakyat nang nakatayo, masyado lang talaga ako natatakot,” the Kapuso singer-actress revealed.
BACK TO THE GRIND
After a well-deserved vacation over the Holy Week, Kyline is more than ready to get back to the grind. She is currently taping for the much-anticipated Philippine adaptation of K-drama hit “Shining Inheritance.”
“I’m looking forward to working again with incredible co-stars kasi, again, walang halong showbiz, lahat po doon ay napakasarap katrabaho,” she told Lhar with a big smile on her face.
Just recently, the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) also announced Kyline’s appointment as its honorary ambassador, a post she’s been entrusted with for a third time.
“Nung nalaman ko yun, I got teary-eyed. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam kasi pinagkakatiwalaan pa rin nila ako to promote (South) Korea here in the Philippines, and Philippines in Korea,” said an emotional Kyline.
