"God has better plans for your life."

This is the message of a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) from Leganes town, Province of Iloilo who ranked seventh in Sinag Class 2024.

Floyd Niño Arthur Roxas, a resident of Barangay Cagamutan, Leganes dreamed of becoming a pilot but realized that God has other better plans for him.

He said he went sad over a dream that did not take off. However, joy took over because of his achievement. He admitted though that it was never an easy journey for him at the PMA. 

At PMA, lessons on self-discipline are enforced stringently.

As his father died years back, his mother Linosita raised him and his two younger siblings as a solo parent. While at PMA, his thoughts would drift back to his mother constantly. He vowed never to fail her. 

Floyd has always been a diligent, brilliant student. He finished with honors at the Philippine Science High School-Western Visayas, and ranked seventh in his graduating class in elementary at the West Visayas State University Integrated Laboratory School. 

His advice to persons who aspire to join the PMA is to always hold on to their goal, and to always set their direction toward the goal.
