The results of the March 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET) has been released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), with five of the six best performing schools based in the regions, and all topnotchers in both elementary and secondary level hailing from Bataan, Davao, and Batangas.

TOPNOTCHERS

Top-performing examinees in the Elementary level are led by a three-way tie among Mary Grace Bamba (Bataan Peninsula State University-Dinalupihan), Khane Jevie Rose Cervantes (Davao Oriental State University-Cateel Campus), and Queenie Macalindong Macatangay (University of Batangas.)

Placing second is Cebuana Gracelyn Celestian Ygot of Cebu Technological University-Moalboal, while Leila Mae Centino of Central Luzon State University and Jane Grace Quisel of Negros Oriental State University-Dumaguete tied for third.

Meanwhile, the Secondary level was top-ranked by lone topnotcher Javerson Loquino, a graduate from the Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia. Pangasinense Jose Brando Castro of Pangasinan State University-Bayambang, and Molly Krister Nalas from the University of Southern Mindanao-Kidapawan ranked second and third, respectively.

TOP-PERFORMING SCHOOLS (ELEMENTARY LEVEL)

Cebu Technological University Main Campus top-ranked with 85.59% passing rate, even while having a huge volume of examinees. 291 of its 340 examinees overcame the examinations. 

For schools with 100-299 examinees, Bicol State University-Daraga dominated with a 95.62% passing rate (131 passers of 137 takers), while Iloilo Science and Technological University scored an impressive 98.65% passing percentage (73 passers of 74 takers) to lead the schools with 50 to 99 examinees.

TOP-PERFORMING SCHOOLS (SECONDARY LEVEL)

For schools with 300 or more takers, Philippine Normal University (PNU) Manila totally dominated with a 98.96% passing percentage, having 381 of its 385 takers pass the exam. For the 100-299 examinees category, PNU-Mindanao saw all but two of its takers overcome the exam, good for a 98.95% rate (189/191).

Meanwhile, Quezon Province-based Philippine Normal University-South Luzon topped the list for schools with 50-99 examinees, garnering an impressive 97.73% passing percentage (86/88).

According to the results released by PRC, 20,890 elementary teachers out of 44,764 total takers, good for 47.67%, passed the board examination; while 50,539 secondary educators out of 85,890 examinees, good for 58.78%, succeeded. The exams were taken on March 17, 2024 in 36 testing centers all over the country.
