Talisay City, Cebu pride Gazini Ganados, one of the newest Sparkle talents, likes to think her versatility and willingness to take on any challenge will be her edge as she transitions from pageantry to television work.
“I am very versatile. Kahit saan mo ako ilagay, okay ako!” the 28-year-old beauty queen told GMA Regional TV News.
Ganados, who won Miss Universe Philippines in 2019, recently signed with Sparkle GMA Artist Center, marking her major decision to make a career shift from being a pageant queen to becoming a television talent.
Now a full-fledged artist under GMA Network’s premiere talent agency, she is confident that her willingness and ability to try new roles will be key as she explores the unfamiliar territory of acting and hosting.
“Very cowboy ako ng lumaki at saka wala talaga akong arte siguro yun yung edge ko na kahit saan mo ko ilagay ok lang talaga ako,” said one of GMA Network’s prized beauty queens.
The former MUPH titleholder, who has roots in Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte, will also be banking on a multi-faceted background outside pageantry. Aside from her advocacy work for elderly care, she’s been very busy trying out different sports, primarily martial arts.
“Besides me nga (who’s a) pageant girl, nag i-explore aka sa lahat ng bagay– nag-muay thai ako, boxing, tennis, everything. I am in my explorative era,” she noted.
“I would want to tackle my craft ganahan ko magsuway og bisan unsa nga situation kay ang beauty queen is limited lang man gud sa pagiging maganda but besides that I want to prove to myself nga kaya nako nga mo go out sa akong comfort zone, and that is being an artist,” Ganados added, speaking in her native tongue and English.

Representing the Philippines during the 68th Miss Universe pageant, Ganados won the National Costume Award and finished as a Top 20 finalist.
