Dr. Marie Claire Bustarde-Briones from Pangasinan was crowned Mrs. Universe Philippines North Pacific Asia 2024.
Briones swept the competition, taking home several titles including Mrs. ALTA 2024, Mrs. UGB 2024, and Mrs. Slimmers 2024.
Briones will go on to represent the Philippines at the Mrs. Universe pageant in South Korea on October 22, 2024.
Briones said she joined the competition not for fame but because she is committed in promoting women's empowerment through her platform.
"To be honest, ako kasi andun yung desire ko really to join not for the fame, but for my objective to reach out people on how to be an advocate — an advocate of empowered women," Briones said.
