Naya Ambi, the pride of Las Piñas City, is The Clash 2024’s grand winner!
The 19-year-old singing aspirant, nicknamed the Soulful Gen Z, was declared the grand champion of the Kapuso network’s all-original singing and reality show on Saturday evening, December 14.
Naya’s winning piece was a powerful rendition of Mariah Carey’s “I’ll Be There” in a head-to-head clash against Laguna’s Chloe Redondo, who on the other hand performed the Celine Dion classic “My Heart Will Go On.”
Naya’s winning P4 million-worth purse includes: one million pesos in cash, an exclusive management contract with Sparkle, and a brand-new house and lot.
Following the grand announcement, Naya sang “Bituing Pangarap,” a song composed by fellow ‘clasher’ and Top 24 finalist Paul Rosa.
Present during the awarding night were a number of GMA Network executives: GMA Network Vice President for Musical Variety, Specials and Alternative Productions for Entertainment Group Ms. Gigi Santiago-Lara; Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Ms. Lilybeth G. Rasonable; and Vice President of Sparkle GMA Artist Center Ms. Joy Marcelo.
The Clash is an all-original singing and reality competition and a proud GMA Network offering that pools together the best singing talent in the country.
Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha, Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, and Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas served as this season’s judges, while Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz were the hosts.
Previous “The Clash” winners include Jeremiah Tiangco, Jessical Villarubin, and Mariane Osabel– now all full-fledged artists of Sparkle, the Kapuso network’s premiere talent management agency.
