Alexie Brooks of Iloilo bagged for the Philippines the country's third Miss Eco International crown during the pageant's finals on April 20, 2025 at the Hilton Green Plaza in Alexandria, Egypt.
Aside from the main crown, Brooks was also first runner-up in the talent contest, 10th in the resort wear competition, and sixth in the Eco Wear competition.
During the finals, Brooks said everyone must realize that "we have the same mother even if we came from different nations," which is why everyone must come together to save their mother, the Earth.
“If you want me to be realistic, climate change is impacting our world right now, and the only thing we can do is to act towards it. Brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen, we have the same mother even if we came from different nations. And we in here are brothers and sisters right now. Our mother is asking for our help, so we must save our planet Earth, and we must take care of our Mother Earth,” she said.
The Philippines' first two crowns in the pageant were won by Cynthia Thomalla in 2018 and Kathleen Paton in 2022.
Brooks, athlete, represented Iloilo in Miss Universe Philippines 2024 where she landed in the Top 10. She was designated later as the Philippines' representative to Miss Eco International. The Miss Universe Philippines crown that year was won by Chelsea Manalo.
