A rare sight caught on camera surprised a group of students during a school activity in Bad-ayan, Buguias, Benguet, an unusual blue-colored snake crawling over rocky terrain.

Leo Agustin Hade, a student, recorded the snake and shared the video online later.

According to Hade, the snake appeared during a school event, and its striking blue color left them both startled and amazed.

The video was later shown to a group in the Cordillera region that studies local snakes.

Experts identified it as a Luzon shrub snake, a non-venomous species native to the Philippines, particularly found in Luzon.

Right after the encounter, the snake disappeared quickly into the nearby vegetation.
