In light of its momentous 75th Anniversary celebration, GMA Network launched a series of short films titled “Ganito Tayo, Kapuso”, highlighting core Filipino values through seven inspirational stories.

The collection centers on the traits Maka-Diyos (Godliness), Masayahin (Joyfulness), Maabilidad (Resourcefulness), Makabayan (Patriotism), Mapagmalasakit (Compassion), Mapagmahal sa Pamilya (Love for Family), and Malikhain (Creativity), with Sparkle artists giving life to important characters in the films.

To highlight the festivities, an exclusive premiere was held last August 7 at the Power Plant Mall in Makati City, graced by GMA executives including GMA Network Chief Marketing Officer Lizelle Maralag, Senior Vice President for GMA Integrated News, Regional TV and Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, and Sparkle GMA Artist Center Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia.

Cast members present at the event included Mikee Quintos, Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay, Matt Lozano, Althea Ablan, Rolando Innocencio, Sienna Stevens, and Euwenn Mikaell.

According to a report from GMA News Online, Mikee Quintos, featured in the short film about Godliness, expressed gratitude for being entrusted with a story that, for her, represents one of the most essential values.

“I’m honored na sa ’min na-trust ‘yung isa sa mga, for me, ang pinaka-importanteng value. Kasi siyempre dapat Siya ‘yung inuuna natin, ‘di ba?” Mikee said.

Director Paul Ticzon commended the remarkable collaborative effort among all the parties involved in the production.

“Siyempre extremely happy and proud,” said director Paul Ticzon, “kasi yung effort behind all the shorts by everyone, hindi yun easily makikita pero remembering what we went through and seeing now how people reacted– bawi lahat ng pagod.”

Also in attendance were representatives from GMA’s advertising partners and clients who supported the project.

The series is a collaborative project between GMA’s Sales and Marketing Group, the Program Support Division, Post Production, and Sparkle talents.

Director Vince Gealogo, meanwhile, described the process as “very challenging and emotional.”

”Medyo emotional kasi kung iku-kwento namin yung nangyari– the process– it was very challenging and emotional, naging very close yung mga tao. The collaboration was very wonderful, everybody contributed. It's one big group that contributed a lot of their talents and efforts. Ang ganda ng kinalabasan,” Gealogo said.

“Ganito Tayo, Kapuso” will be available for public viewing on August 17 at TriNoma Mall in Quezon City.
