For three fun decades, the creative brilliance of Michael V has never withered. His character sketches are iconic, shows top-rated– all achieved through a remarkable partnership with his home network– GMA.

On Monday, Bitoy signed anew with the Kapuso network, signalling more of everything that’s rightfully made him the Philippines’ ‘Comedy Genius’ in the years to come.

“Thirty years– as long as it may seem– napaka-fruitful non, kasi it gave me the opportunity to learn from GMA, and nakita ko yung growth ng GMA, so parang magkatuwang talaga kami ng network,” shared Michael V, born Beethoven del Valle Bunagan, during his momentous contract signing event.

The “Bubble Gang” frontman also expressed his thanks to GMA for providing him with freedom and the platform to grow as an artist since 1995 , even calling himself “Batang GMA,” which playfully alludes to the gag show’s upcoming concept “Batang Bubble” in line with its 30th anniversary.

“Di maikakaila yung malaking tulong na nagawa ng GMA to my career, and I would say GMA ang nagbigay ng freedom sakin to spread my wings, at ang hangin, Misis ko naman (nag-provide),” said Bitoy, who in his short message also raved about his wife and manager’s integral role in all his creative endeavours.

“Itong pagiging part namin ni misis ng gma is a dream come true for me,” he added, “thirty years– napakahaba ng journey ang ginawa namin, noh Mommy? All this time kami magkasama. Magkatuwang kami pumipirma, kami nagde-desisyon.”

Gracing the contract signing event were GMA President and Chief Executive Officer Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, GMA Network Officer-In-Charge for Entertainment Group and Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, and the Kapuso comedian’s wife and manager Carolina Bunagan.

The current cast of “Bubble Gang” – Paolo Contis, EA Guzman, Betong Sumaya, Cheska Fausto, Chariz Solomon, Analyn Barro, Buboy Villar, Kokoy de Santos– along with the comedy show’s production staff, were also present to show support.

His contract signing also coincides with “Bubble Gang’s” 30th anniversary festivities, with Bitoy and his fellow cast members announcing upcoming gimmicks and concepts for the country’s longest-running comedy show.
