Is JuleSquad finally due for a championship?

Julie Anne San Jose is set for a strong return to the The Voice Kids Philippines coaching panel, as she joins fellow mainstay Billy Crawford and newcomers Zack Tabudlo and Ben&Ben’s Paolo and Miguel Guico.

After two seasons of coaching the world-famous singing franchise– The Voice Generations (2023) and The Voice Kids Philippines (2024)– Coach Julie believes that its upcoming edition belongs to ‘JuleSquad.’

Wala naman akong hamon sa mga coaches, but I do have a good feeling na yung grand champion ng The Voice Kids this season ay manggagaling sa JuleSquad, believes the Asia’s Limitless Star when asked how she feels about her coaching return to the reality show.

She also said that while it’s tough to ascertain what qualities of a singer can contend with the competition’s best, she will be looking for aspirants who are “versatile and easily connected sa akin.”

“Yung magaling makinig, at willing matuto,” she added.

The 31-year-old Kapuso star also noted the importance of taking the competition as it is where winning and losing are both inherent to the experience, while maintaining one’s commitment to the craft.

“For me, lagi ko talagang sinasabi sa kids na itong mga nagaganap sa kanila ngayon, it's all competition– may mananalo at matatalo. So whatever happens, always perform like it's your last performance,” she reminded.

“Give your 101% best and commitment sa mga gagawin nyo, ask guidance from the Lord, and always always have faith in yourself,” she added.

Speaking briefly about the “The Voice Kids PH” journey, Julie Anne also emphasized the value of putting in the work and staying the course in spite of challenges.

“There will be times na may challenges and hurdles, but it’s part of growing up, it's part of life. Lahat yan di natin pwede laktawan,” she said.

She concluded by saying that while the journey may not always be easy, contestants just “always have to look at your roots, kung bakit mo ba ginagawa ito.”

The Voice Kids Philippines is currently in production and will soon air only on GMA Network.

The singing competition’s previous edition featured SB19’s Stell and Pablo as individual coaches, with Nevin Adam Garceniego of Tropa ni Pablo being hailed as the grand champion last December 2024.
