From being runner-up in Season 1 in 2018, Jong Madaliday, the pride of North Cotabato, finally fulfilled his dream of winning GMA Network's all-original singing competition, The Clash.
He defeated fellow returning Clasher, 2023 runner-up Arabelle dela Cruz, to emerge as the 2025 grand champion.
For his final performance, Jong impressed The Clash Panel composed of Lani Misalucha, Christian Bautista, and Ai-Ai delas Alas with his rendition of 'Someone You Loved.'
Arabelle, meanwhile, belted out 'I Believe I Can Fly" in the final battle.
Before becoming a content creator during the Covid-19 pandemic, Jong appeared on GMA's musical variety shows 'Studio 7' and 'All-Out Sundays' after Season 1 of The Clash.
In an interview with GMA News Online, Jong said he considers as one of his biggest achievements in The Clash 2025 was making the audience, hosts, and judges cry from his performance of The Goo Goo Dolls' “Iris.”
“Parang sinabay ko sila dun sa kwento ko na ‘Iris’ is parang ‘yun ‘yung gusto kong sabihin na ‘di ko kayang bigkasin. Nadaan ko dun sa awit,” he told GMA News Online.
He said his parents are the reason he became passionate about music. His mother's side of the family has many singers and dancers.
Jong now joins the ranks of The Clash grand champions Golden Cañedo, Jeremiah Tiangco, Jessica Villarubin, Mariane Osabel, John Rex, and Naya Ambi.
The Clash 2025 was hosted by Julie Ann San Jose and Rayver Cruz.
