The Carolina Bamboo Garden, a bamboo haven in Antipolo, is once again opening its gates for a new round of bamboo learning as it holds its 27th “Learn and Earn from Bamboo Experts” training seminar on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Participants are invited to spend a day at the five-hectare garden that boasts a thick bamboo collective situated in the hilly parts of Sitio Tanza 2 in Antipolo City where learners are to be treated to an immersive tour and a series of talks that will shed light on the fastest-growing plant’s myriad of benefits.

For more than two decades, the biannual seminar has gathered farmers, architects, hobbyists, and entrepreneurs eager to learn more about the affordances of bamboo not only as an alternative material, but as a high-potential resource with economic, architectural, and environmental upside.

Each session aims to bridge knowledge gaps in bamboo propagation, harvesting techniques, and proper processing for long-term use.

Past editions of the learn-and-earn seminar have spotlighted how this type of grass plays a crucial role in livelihood generation and climate resilience, even as a robust choice when building infrastructure in the Philippines.

Experts have consistently stressed that bamboo, when treated and engineered efficiently to our advantage, can rival mainstream construction materials while boasting its environmental pros in reducing carbon emissions and preventing erosion, while generating more jobs.

The upcoming seminar on October 18 will again feature lectures and hands-on activities across the five-hectare farm, with site tours to its treatment center and the Bamboo Museum– a perfect entry point to the vast world of bamboo design, propagation, and its all-around benefits.

The 27th Bamboo Training and Seminar: Learn and Earn from Bamboo Experts on Saturday is priced at P2,400 per participant and will happen from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Carolina Bamboo Garden in Sitio Tanza 2, Brgy. San Jose, Antipolo City.
