The Philippines’ Emma Mary Tiglao bagged another Miss Grand International crown for the Philippines, inheriting the title from fellow Filipina CJ Opiaza.
Opiaza, who got the title after the 2024 winner from India stepped down, crowned Tiglao during the finals in Thailand evening on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
The rest in the Top 5 are the following:
- 1st Runner-Up: Thailand
- 2nd Runner-Up: Spain
- 3rd Runner-Up: Ghana
- 4th Runner-Up: Venezuela
The other candidates who made it to the Top 10 but did not move forward to the Top 5 were all named 5th Runner-Up. They are Colombia, Czech Republic, Guatemala, Mexico, and Tanzania.
In the final question round, the Top 5 were asked:
“Scammers are an online threat, a form of warfare often tied to human trafficking that has global consequences. Countries such as South Korea and USA have launched severe crackdowns. What penalties do you think could help dismantle these operations?”
Tiglao responded:
"As someone who reports these kinds of stories, I really want to use the power of balance… us people to be educated and aware for us to not be scammed… and the help of the government to enhance their justice system for the scammers to be behind bars, to be accountable. ‘Coz one day, I hope that we will live in a peaceful world where no one should deceive just to survive.”
Before making it to the Top 10 and eventually to the Top 5, Tiglao was the first to make it to the first cut after winning the Country’s Power of the Year award.
LUNAR EMPRESS
For the pageant’s national costume competition, Tiglao was dressed as the Lunar Empress of Pampanga.
The costume honors Mayari, the Kapampangan moon goddess of strength, beauty and equality.
"Silver, sapphire, and midnight tones mirror the moon’s glow while the crescent back dress and crystal details reflect lunar cycles and moonlights," her costume is described.
Tiglao represented Pampanga in Miss Grand Philippines 2025.
