A routine morning turned urgent outside Camp Olivas in San Fernando City, Pampanga when a tricycle stopped at its gate carrying a woman already in labor.

Members of the Regional Medical and Dental Unit of PRO-3 rushed to help. By the time the emergency response team arrived, the baby’s head was already showing, forcing them to perform an emergency delivery right inside the tricycle.

Despite the tension and the rush, the team remained calm and delivered a healthy baby successfully.

The mother and child were provided immediate post-delivery care and were brought to the nearest hospital for further assessment. Both are now safe and in stable condition.

PCOL Jonathan Adanglao, chief of the Medical and Dental Unit of PRO-3, said they are always ready to extend help to anyone in need.

“Even though nasa loob kami ng kampo, if the civilian or the community needs help, most especially on emergencies, evacuations during disaster, nandito lang po kami. Just contact the police,” he said.
