Disyang, a Cebuano earthquake survivor from Bogo City, Cebu, won the jackpot prize amounting to one million pesos on the ‘Laro Laro Pick’ segment on It’s Showtime’s Thursday episode.

Disyang, 45, entered the featured segment’s jackpot round after edging 23 other contestants– all fellow Cebuano residents who were affected by the recent calamities that struck Cebu.

During the final round, Disyang was asked by host Vice Ganda the rather ‘gift’ question “one plus one,” to which the mother of three correctly answered “two.”

Cheers and celebration immediately ensued as Vice Ganda alongside other “It’s Showtime” hosts and fellow contestants gave her congratulatory hugs.

“Para po sa mga anak ko,” Disyang, a Barangay Pulang Bato native, said in tears as the episode turned into an emotional scene.

Disyang is a barangay health worker whose family is currently still living at an evacuation center following the severe damages caused by the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that shook Northern Cebu in late September 2025.

During the segment, Disyang also recalled the moment when the fatal shaking occurred.

“Mga anak ko po (kasama ko). Yung isa ko, andun sa itaas, yung isa ko nasa computer nanood sya. Pag lindol na, yung first mahina lang, then sunod-sunod na ang paglindol. Sinabihan ko yung anak ko, baba ka na kasi malakas yung lindol. Natatakot siya bumaba,” she detailed.

“Mahalaga po kasi para sa mga anak ko ito. (Na) makatapos sila ng pag-aaral, maayos ang tinitirhan namin… basta para sa mga anak ko,” she added.

Later in the episode, Vice Ganda also announced that the rest of the 23 Cebuano contestants will equally share another one million peso-pot which was formed by personal contributions from the show’s hosts.
